Dry Riser

This Dry Riser inlet is situated in Carlton Road directly south of the inspection pit. It would be used to pump foam into the M27 pipe culvert in the event of fire.

Hill Road

The pipeline travels west from the bunkers then south down Hill Road at B where it then turns west once more. C is the top of Richmond Rise and D playing fields.

Hill Road

Location B  looking south in Hill Road. The pipeline travels under the trackway and road turning west (right) at the X.

Top of Richmond Rise

Location C - the top of Richmond Rise - looking west. This the most well defined section of the pipeline route. The original 4 foot concrete posts and chainlink are still present.

Playing fields

Location D looking east back along the track in the previous photo. An inspection pit was once located in front of the hedge which the local kids called 'Dracula's grave'! The pipeline turns 90 degrees south (right) at this point.
